The Hershey-Harrisburg region is a diverse destination with myriad of resources and venues to accommodate almost any sporting event. Created in June 2003, the Sports Division of the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau (HHRVB) works to recruit and attract sporting events, sports meetings and competitions to the Hershey-Harrisburg region.

HHRVB Sports promotes the region to events rights holders, organizations and associations both regionally and nationally. By marketing the region and the venues and facilities available here, HHRVB Sports attracts events of all levels: youth, collegiate, amateur, and professional.

Recognized as the number-one minor-league sports market in the country by Sports Business Journal in 2009, the area features the Harrisburg Senators AA baseball, Hershey Bears AHL hockey, City Islanders USL-2 soccer and more. With international attractions like Hersheypark and Chocolate World, the Hershey -Harrisburg area is a great place to play!

Giant Center is a state-of-the-art facility that serves as home to the Hershey Bears Hockey Club. Since opening in October of 2002, the arena has hosted such events as Stars On Ice and Disney On Ice, WWE Wrestling Shows, The Harlem Globetrotters, the PIAA Championships in wrestling and basketball, and more. Seats 10,500 for ice events, 12,500 including floor seating. Features all the amenities of a major-market facility, including suites and club-lounge areas. Excellent locker rooms and media facilities.
Hershey Country Club

Hershey Country Club is one of the many rich and vibrant legacies created by Milton S. Hershey. With four courses (East, West, Links, Spring Creek), HCC is a versatile host for golf events. HCC has hosted tournaments on the LPGA and PGA Nationwide Tours, and Ben Hogan served as club pro in the 1940’s. In addition to distinctive golf, Hershey Country Club has spacious banquet and meeting space.

There are over 70 years of memories at Hersheypark Arena, including Wilt Chamberlain’s record 100-point game in 1962, a birthday party for President Dwight Eisenhower in 1953, the first ever Ice Capades show in 1940, and 8 Calder Cup championships for the Hershey Bears hockey team. Featuring an NHL-regulation 200’ x 85’ ice rink, the Arena can has a seating capacity of 7,200, with multiple locker room facilities.

Adjacent to Hersheypark Amusement Park, Hersheypark Stadium is the most prominent outdoor stadium between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, hosting such events as the BIG 33 Football Classic, PIAA high school football, soccer and lacrosse championships, and the annual Summer Concert Series. With the addition of a state-of-the-art synthetic grass system, Hersheypark Stadium continues to shine as a venue for athletic events, holding 16,000 in the stands. Overall, Hersheypark Stadium can hold 30,000 fans for concerts and stage events. In recent years, the Stadium has hosted acts such as the Dave Matthews Band, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, U2, Aerosmith and Nickelback.
Little Buffalo State Park

Located in Newport, Perry County, just off PA Route 322, Little Buffalo is approximately 20 minutes from Harrisburg. It features swimming, boating and fishing in 88-acre Holman Lake, 8 miles of hiking trails, hunting in over 300 acres, cross-country skiing and more. Little Buffalo hosted an ASA national archery tournament in 2005.
Metro Bank Park

Generally available between September and April, the stadium also is open on off days of the Harrisburg Senators, depending on their schedule from year-to-year. The facility renovation was completed prior to the 2010 Eastern League season, and now features 24 suites, a boardwalk that completely encircles the playing field, and the largest video/scoreboard in minor league baseball. In July 2010, the stadium hosted the Eastern League AA All-Star Game. It also features a playing surface recognized nationally as one of the best in minor league baseball.
PA Farm Show Complex & Expo Center

From the agricultural shows to the sporting events, car shows, proms and other activities, the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center is host to a variety of exciting events. Featuring nearly one million square feet of indoor floor space, the Complex is one of the premier event locations in Pennsylvania. The flexibility of the complex allows it to host major events around the entire facility, a private meeting, or anything in between. That flexibility also allows it to hold numerous events of different types simultaneously throughout the complex, while providing each with the attention they deserve.
Skyline Sports Complex

Skyline is located on City Island, adjacent to Metro Bank Park, home of the Harrisburg Senators. Skyline is the home venue for the Harrisburg City Islanders (USL-2) pro soccer team, and the Central Penn Piranha (NAFL) minor league football team, and also plays host to PIAA high school soccer games and much more. Next to the field are four sand volleyball courts. Both the field and the courts are usable into the evening, with full lighting available. This multi-purpose venue seats 2,500, with field dimensions of 360’ x 210’.

The facility features a total of 77,000 square feet which includes two 200' x 85' NHL standard size ice rinks and one 45' x 85' rink named The Puddle. There are a total of 8 locker rooms and 4 party rooms, as well as the Twin Ponds Café and a full-service Pro Shop. Twin Ponds recently hosted the twenty-team ACHA College Hockey Showcase, and received rave reviews.
Zembo Shrine Center

Zembo Shrine Center features an auditorium seating 2,300 with complete stage facilities, 9,000 square feet of wooden floor space and a lobby. The facility also has the smaller Tile Room, which is available for groups requiring less space, a small dining room and lounge on the lower level. The Zembo Shrine Center has hosted many boxing and MMA events, but is also versatile enough to handle things like volleyball, wrestling, cheerleading and more.
